Emerge Reality focuses on augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and extended reality (XR) software development. Our mission is to create easy-to-use applications for businesses and consumers. Leveraging AR technologies, we create tools focused on business applications that help drive sales, customer training and user engagement. We are also not above creating games that leverage these technologies.

Technologies leveraged include: Google ARCore, AR Foundation, Microsoft Mixed Reality Toolkit (MRTK), Vuforia, Unity, C#, Google Analytics, AWS, Photon, and more.

Emerging areas that we built applications for include Metaverse and Avatar experiences for sporting and music entertainment industries. We have leveraged MongoDB, AWS Cognito + Lambda, and Unity In App Purchasing (IAP) to create serverless APIs that provide backend functionality for registration, tracking, and payment services for our apps.

DeltaE is the calculation to determine the difference between 2 colors. This is a Unity C# implementation of that calculation.

I was one of 3 developers on a VR training simulation for PDO, the leading oil & gas exploration & production company in the Sultanate of Oman.

Using Unity's XR Interaction Toolkit, employees learn about the use of emergency escape equipment to be used in the event of a gas leak. The modules include learning about the equipment, practicing donning the equiment, and a challenge where they are faced with an actual emergency and need to use the equipment correctly.

Metaverse Concert

Metaverse Concert

Using Unity and the Ready Player Me SDK, I created a metaverse concert experience that enables bands to create a unique metaverse concert and share it with their fans. A separate, partner application allows people to create their own custom avatar on their mobile device which is then added to the dance floor of the concert.

Utilizing technologies including Unity Addressables for remote delivery of concert venues, Cinemachine for fun and exciting concert camera angles, XR Interaction Toolkit for VR mode (application available on device, in AR and in VR), and AWS S3 buckets for remote storage and Cognito for user registration.

Hololens Jigsaw Puzzle

Using Unity, Microsoft Mixed Reality Toolkit (MRTK), Photon Pun, and NodeDss (webRTC chat), this app is a multi-player jigsaw puzzle application for the HoloLens 2. Friends can choose from a selection of images and work together to solve the puzzle.

Augmented Reality Wayfinding

Using Unity and Vuforia Area and Image Targets, a grocery store shopper can build their shopping list and find the optimal path through the store. Upon arrival at the shelf location of the product, the user can point their phone at the product to learn more about it with an augmented reality overlay detailing the price, any available promotions, and features.

Qatar XR Walkthrough

Augmented Reality walkthrough of Doha, Qatar. It was created to celebrate the 50 anniversary of diplomatic relations between the US and Qatar. The walkthrough and another World Cup related app were demonstrated at a gala with US Senators, Diplomats, Ambassdors and Generals in attendance.

Using AR facial augmentation, I participated in creating a virtual try-on app for a smart sunglesses manufacturer. The app allows customers to demo the different glasses models and change the tint of the lenses to pick their style.
